Collection: Kavalava
Kavalava is the perfect mix of 3 and 4 year old noble kava. It is 100% waka (roots) grown in the lush mountains surrounding Nakaseleka on the island of Kadavu. The tropical climate, rich volcanic soil, and high rainfall provide the perfect conditions for growing high quality organic kava. In fact, many say Kadavu kava is the best in Fiji, and possibly the Pacific.
There are 12 noble varieties of Kava grown in Kadavu. Kavalava's farm uses the old method of deep forest cultivation without any machinery or synthetic material. The kava is uprooted on the farm and washed in a pristine mountain stream, before being carried down to the village by hand. It is dried in the sun for 10-15 days and then for pounded and packed for shipment to Australia. Endemic to the Pacific Islands.
